Quentin McKeney

Mr. Quentin McKeney was born in Brooklyn and has been a resident of the Flatbush neighborhood for almost three decades. He studied creative writing at Queens College and has worked in private and public sectors, including commercial airline companies such as Continental, Braniff, and Piedmont, and New York City government.

Before joining the NYC Department of Sanitation, Mr. McKeney worked at the NYC Department of Social Services, where he worked in the Rikers Island unit to ensure all formerly incarcerated individuals living with substance use disorder were discharged with appropriate referral to social and support services.

Mr. McKeney joined the Board of Directors of BAC in 1996. Since then, he has been serving on the Finance and Governance Committees. His commitment to the agency’s mission was crucial to its transformation in the past two decades and continues to advise its future direction. Mr. McKeney is also an active member of the Strongest Brotherhood, a charity group of motorcyclists that focuses on fundraising for children in the neediest families during the holiday seasons.
