Letter from the Board Chair
As Founder and Chair of the Board of Directors since BATF’s inception, I continue to be amazed at the extraordinary accomplishments of my colleagues at the agency. This year we have changed our name from Brooklyn AIDS Task Force (BATF) to Bridging Access to Care (BAC) to reflect a broadening of our scope and mission. For example, recently we added a mental health clinic, a substance abuse clinic and a Health Home Care coordination Unit. BAC recently received new grants from federal and state sources with which we have been working. This points out that they have confidence in and appreciation for what we have accomplished up to this point.
The past year has been particularly challenging, not only to us but to all non-profits, and we continue to meet those challenges on a daily basis. We have engaged over 100,000 individuals and families so far and, with our new name and focus, we look forward to continuing to serve many more in the future.
