New York Cares Coat Drive provided 200 coats for out clients and the local community, arriving just in time to be distributed during our holiday celebrations taking place throughout the agency. Sarah, a participant in our clinical internship program, attends Fordham Univerity’s MSW-program-macro practice and leadership track. In her spare time, this exceptional Social Work intern volunteered at the New York Cares Coat Drive. She submitted an application on behalf of BATF to secure warm winter coats for our clients and community.
Coats were distributed in our Hurricane Sandy Support Group at our 260 Broadway location, in our Substance Abuse Treatment Programs at 502 Bergen Street, and in our Housing Programs at 2261 Church Avenue. In addition, we were able to offer winter coats to those in our community who frequent our Food Panty. These pictures are just a few of our clients who were excited to model their new warm winter coats.
